This cottage sits beautifully up a private driveway on a grassy knoll looking straight out at Kelly’s Cove and Islesboro Island out to Sears Island and beyond. Kelly’s Cove is a wonderful spot for wading and swimming – the tide goes way out here revealing wonderful tidal pools, shells, starfish and more watery wonders.
The large front yard and wrap around porch welcome you into this comfortable Maine summer cottage. The front porch entry opens into a large living / family room with wide pine floors, working stone fireplace and beautiful period antiques.
Windows grace all three walls so as the sun travels from East to South and West during the day wonderful light fills the living space.
A galley kitchen is just off the living area with all appliances necessary for whipping up some great meals. Dining is informal in the cottage with a leaf table that can be pulled out into the space just adjacent to the kitchen comfortably seats 4 -6.
Just off the kitchen are French doors that lead out to the covered porch. Very convenient for summer dining with the gorgeous full view of Kelly’s Cove. There is a rear entrance to the cottage that has a washer/dryer.
Just aft of the kitchen is a bath with shower that then leads to the downstairs bedroom. There are also pine floors with a queen bed and antique furnishings. A large window provides views of the Bay.
Heading upstairs is another full bath with clawfoot tub and shower curtain. A large bedroom with a double bed faces the ocean and has a good sized closet and antique furnishings. A smaller bedroom in the rear of the house has ample natural light and views of the large back yard and wooded area. It is also large enough as a playroom for children.
