One of our favorite cottages and one of the most charming newly constructed cottages in Bayside, this pretty post and beam Victorian is right across from the first tee of the Northport Country Club and just a three minute walk to the waterfront , Ruggles, Bayview and Auditorium Parks for swimming and beach combing. Beautifully landscaped including shade trees with a cozy covered porch and stone terrace for outdoor living.

Inside, this cottage has THREE levels with a total area of 1280 square feet. The exposed beams and natural wood floors are very inviting . There are plenty of windows to bring in the light and Maine salt air. There is a wonderful vaulted stairway to the second and third levels. Cat walks on the second and third levels add a really fun architectural feature and connect the rooms at each. These balconies bring terrific light and openness to this quaint cottage. The tasteful decor and comfortable furnishings make this a fantastic rental.

The first floor has a kitchen / dining area with seating for six. The kitchen is well equipped , adaquate for gourmet cooking with new appliances including, microwave, coffemaker and cookware.

The bright downstairs hallway is illuminated by French doors and leads you to the wide staircase and living room. Another set of French doors leads you to the covered porch and terrace for afternoon cocktails or just a cozy place to read. The living room has all new furnture for 2011 including full size couch and two very comfortable easy chairs (one a recliner ) . A Jotul gas stove/fireplace adds warmth, romance and fire for cool evenings.

Heading to the second level the first cat walk creates a hallway between the two bedrooms and bath. The larger bedroom has a queen bed with antique furnishings and a large closet. This room is well lit and ventilated by windows on three sides. The second bedroom is sweet single with a twin bed, dresser and closet. The adjacent bath has full tub/shower. The washer/dryer sits outside the bathroom.

A narrow staircase brings you to the third level with many sloped ceilings and dormers. Again the cat walk creates a hallway between a sitting area (twin bed) at the top of the stairs and a queen bed sleeping area at the other end. Two portal windows on each gable end plus other windows in the dormers provide plenty of ventilation and light.

A wonderful surprise is a private and separate suite (called "Cat Nip") over the garage which has a queen bed, small refrigerator, microwave and a bath with shower,tv and vcr. This is perfect for a second couple to share this wonderful cottage with you.
