This two story gothic style cottage was built within the last 15 years. It is located on a lovely water view lot with privacy from Shore Road and the neighbors while providing excellent access to Ruggles Park (5 minute walk) and Kelly’s Cove ( 1 minute walk ).
The layout is perfect for a family or two couples sharing this lovely cottage.
The first floor has a master bedroom in the rear with an antique queen bed. A door opens to a very deck with a gazebo which can either be used as a dining area or laying out on the hammock. Just off the bedroom is the very functional eat in kitchen with all appliances, including a small dishwasher. Also adjacent to the bedroom and off the kitchen is a full bath with tub/shower and laundry.
Just forward of the kitchen is a nicely furnished comfortable living room with TV, DVD, CD player and a decorative gas fired stove to keep the chill out and enjoy the glow of the glass front stove. Much of the cottage is natural wood floors, walls and ceilings providing a natural cottage look and feel throughout.
Another cozy porch in the front entry has seating for four and is perfect for conversation with passersby who are admiring Hydrangea cottage during their morning walks along Shore Road.
The second floor has vaulted open exposed rafters with a sleeping area with two twin beds, windows and skylight. This room is open to a nicely decorated seating area opposite another full bathroom with large shower. Another large bedroom is walled off from the seating area with a lovely antique double bed and furnishings.
We have had many very happy vacationers at Hydrangea over the last four years and the cottage is in high demand. It lives much larger than it looks and has tons of outdoor living space, great location, lots of natural daylight and many windows that allow the cool ocean air to flow through.
