3 Bedroom ; 1Bathroom DOWN: 2 Queens, 1 twin, full bath
perfect for 4 can sleep 5
This oceanside cottage has a commanding view of Sears Island, Turtle Head and Blue Hill in the distance. It is perched right on the shoreline with a stairway down to a large deck just a couple feet above high tide. A final set of stairs leads you down to the rocky shore. It is located just about a 5 minute walk to Ruggles Park along Shore Road.
As you enter the cottage, you are welcomed by a center hallway with three bedrooms and one full bath with tub/shower. The bedrooms ( all new beds ) are small but cozy and all have ocean views right from ground level. The first bedroom has a twin bed with great water view, the second is larger and has a queen with water views from two sides of the cottage. The last room is to the rear with a queen, but still has the water views from the side window. Wood walls and hardwood floors are throughout the first floor.
As you head up to the main level, a wide staircase with a mid point landing provides an easy approach to the second floor. You enter a large living area with seating for six with open ceilings and exposed rafters. A triple sliding glass wall opens the entire second level to the 180 degree view of the Bay. A sizable deck is off the living room for outdoor lounging and watching the sailboat races or the schooners rounding Turtle Head.
An open kitchen / dining area is to the rear but still retains the fabulous view of the Bay as well as collecting the western afternoon sun from an oversize window on the back side of the cottage. There are ample counter work areas with a double sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender. A round dining table seats four but you will opt to dine on the deck on all but rainy days or the ocean's edge deck if you are up for a barbeque.

"This was our first time in renting a house for vacation. We looked at many, many places on the Maine State web site, and norrowed our search down to two.
Oceanside cottage here in Bayside won and we couldn't have been happier. We loved looking out over the bay and sat out on the lower deck and just mellowed out.
Bayside is conducive to a lot of R & R , it's quiet and the people are very friendly.
We spent time shopping, we visited Belfast, Bangor and Freeport. The Cellardoor winery in Linconville has some exellent wines, and breakfasts at the Summer House Cafe were a real treat. All in all we greatly enjoyed our stay at the Oceanside Cottage ! "
