In this web site we refer to the area on the waterfront that includes Ruggles Park, the basketball court & playground, the public dock , and our small yacht club as the "Village Center".
The heart of Bayside is an informal grid of three small streets going north and south in the direction of the shoreline and eight or so small lanes heading east and west to and from the water.
These "Village " cottages are homes that do not have waterfrontage or a full clear waterview. In almost all of Bayside you can see the water as soon as you step out into the road to take your very short walk to the "Village Center" .
The cottage farthest away from the water is still only a three minute walk to the shore. All the parks and waterfront are public areas .
