Windy Corner Cottage has become our most desired waterfront rental. The revitalization of Windy Corner has been done with care and vision that you will appreciate and want to return to year after year. We can’t describe the feel that this cottage has with the relation to the water. The sailboat mooring field in the foreground, Blue Hill and Turtle Head in the background, lobster boats checking their traps, club sailboat races…all are in view of this highly-perched property overlooking the daily activities of Penobscot Bay.

The cottage has undergone a fantastic upgrade with new bathrooms, a fireplace, windows across the front of the cottage and a deck at the shore.

The owners had the vision to make a historic cottage meet the needs of more modern living without losing the charm of a 1900s cottage. The home is fresh, uncluttered and comfortable

The former bedroom room space has been converted to a large sitting room, separate entry and new windows providing gorgeous views of the water, southeasterly breezes and outstanding sunrises.  There is a 3/4 bath in this room.

A small bathroom with standing tiled shower has been added in the sitting room.  A set of double French doors opens up to the  living /dining area.

Over 20 feet of glass doors and window keeps every area of the cottage overlooking the bay from Belfast Harbor to Sears Island to Turtle Head off Islesboro Island and points south.  Sliding glass doors open up to a deck that runs along the entire front of the cottage. The deck leads to a small oceanfront yard.

The home has beautifully refinished hard wood floors throughout. The remainder of the first floor has two large open areas, for dining and a living space with comfortable furnishings, fabulous views and Roku TV.

A wonderful kitchen provides efficient space for creating wonderful meals. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need to cook in. A charcoal grill is also provided for outdoor cooking.

Heading upstairs are three bedrooms. One of the rooms has a queen bed, the second other has twin bunkbeds. Both of these rooms have huge windows looking out onto the bay.   These two bedrooms share a  brand new lovely bathroom. This floor has been completely renovated in 2021, it’s beautiful!  The primary suite is really something. A king bed facing the sunrise to the east. An on suite bathroom feels like a spa. A soaking tub and glass shower with a skylight will make you breath easy.

2 two week blocks will be rented for the 2023 season. Sunday to Sunday rentals, $4500/week. Sunday July 2nd to Sunday July 16th and July 16th to July 30th.

Beach access, impressive beach stairs bring you down to the shore.
